A dance work made strongly between myself and the six (student) dancers. We worked with sensorial immersion and the spectrum of extremes able to be touched in the body with this as the focus. We worked with being honest, 'radically present', and awash with one's own sensorial scores that accumulate and disappear or empty out.
What remains when you are touched too much?
Can the body be thrown?
What is the sensation of everywhere at once?
'It is time to act. Count your breath. Forget the pain. Shake vigorously. Rehearse love. Make the first move. Rewind the tape. Don't pause. Act. Kissing is allowed. Passion is inevitable. Caress your fear, collapse if necessary. Abandon the plan. Restart. Get informed. Act. Overact. Be brave. Stage your anger. Polish your doubts. Fast forward. Broadcast your failures. Entertain your vanity.
You are lucky. You have always been lucky.
Exaggerate the possibilities and don't underestimate the impact.
Enjoy your stay'.
